Sovos is a global leader in tax compliance, and we're recruiting a Senior Sales Engineer to support our Direct Sales and Alliance teams. This role requires a deep understanding of tax information reporting solutions and the ability to provide subject matter expertise to clients.


The Role:


In this position, you will:



  • Provide superior domain expertise around tax information reporting
  • Challenge bad sales processes and behaviours and establish and support best practices
  • Maintain expert level understanding of functionality and technical architecture of our products
  • Assist in the client discovery process to help uncover unforeseen challenges and ensure the proper offering is being proposed
  • Guide the strategic efforts to conduct sales and solutions presentations for clients of all sizes
  • Develop and lead training sessions both within and outside the Sales Engineer department
  • Assist Sales Engineers in designing and delivering customised solution demonstrations using Sovos SaaS solutions and services
  • Service as a subject matter expert surrounding the creation of RFP and RFI responses for prospective new clients
  • Work closely with the on-boarding team ensuring a seamless handoff from sales to on-boarding for new clients
  • Maintain and continually improve demonstration capabilities, conducting internal Sales department training, demo system props and proposal content
  • Act with integrity and demonstrate ethical behaviour in all matters with all stakeholders
  • Take full responsibility for ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrate initiative, drive and determination to achieve results, success and growth
  • Maintain a high level of energy, enthusiasm, engagement and commitment to action

Requirements:



  • Minimum 4+ years' of sales related experience
  • Customer facing experience, required
  • Ability to be strategic towards business outcomes as well as manage and handle day-to-day details and deadlines
  • Strong team orientation with a history of working collaboratively in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities (at times conflicting), remain focused under pressure and work extended hours as required
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office software including Excel, Word, & Power Point
  • Well-developed business ethics and the ability to maintain a high level of discretion
  • Self-motivated and strong drive to succeed
  • Ability to pass a background, drug and credit check
  • Essential Job Functions: Interact effectively with teammates, colleagues and customers Comprehend and communicate complex concepts Concentrate, analyse and resolve complex problems Utilise technology ( phone systems, computer hardware and software applications) to fulfil work requirements
