Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Account Executive to engage with both new and existing clients in the Public Sector from our office in Solna.

As a seasoned sales expert, you will address your clients' most pressing needs. You will pinpoint opportunities for account retention and expansion through contract enhancements, as well as the introduction of new services and products. This role is field-based, focusing on direct sales to large enterprise clients, specifically organizations with annual revenues exceeding $750 million, which includes 77% of the Global Fortune 500.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve a quota exceeding $1 million in contract value across 5-10 large enterprise accounts.
  • Establish trust-based, value-driven relationships with C-level executives and their teams, primarily focusing on the CIO and the CIO office.
  • Enhance account retention and growth by addressing their most critical priorities and showcasing Gartner's value.
  • Generate new business with new clients through networking, events, and personal prospecting.
  • Leverage industry knowledge of your specific market segment, staying informed on trends to ensure an effective market approach.
  • Collaborate across teams, regions, and departments, sharing best practices to ensure a top-tier approach to strategic initiatives and growth plans.
  • Contribute to improving diversity, mentoring fellow associates, and fostering team growth within an inclusive environment.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant sales experience, including at least 2 years in a technology or IT environment. Direct sales experience within a software vendor, system integrator, IT consultancy, or similar setting is highly relevant.
  • Experience selling to senior executives, preferably the CIO.
  • A proven track record of consistently exceeding goals and targets.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree is preferred.
  • Fluency in both Swedish and English is required.
  • Familiarity with Challenger Sales or similar methodologies is advantageous.
