Job Description

This is a high-impact role that requires a strategic, dynamic, and results-oriented leader who can shape the acceptance network, foster meaningful partnerships, and drive innovative solutions across Northern Europe. The role spans nine markets (Nordics, Baltics, and the Netherlands) and reports directly to the President of Northern Europe, with a dotted line to the Public Sector Lead for Europe.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement strategies to expand Mastercard's acceptance network and enhance partnerships.
  2. Drive sales growth by identifying and pursuing opportunities to increase Mastercard's presence in existing and new areas where payments are or should be accepted.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new business models and innovative acceptance solutions.
Requirements
  • Strategic expertise in developing and executing business development strategies within complex, multi-country environments.
  • Market development skills, including deep understanding of payment acceptance, financial services, and partnership ecosystems.
  • Government relations experience, including extensive engagement with governments, regulators, and industry bodies.
