Mattermost provides a secure, open-core collaboration platform for technical and operational teams. Our platform integrates workflow automation, AI acceleration, ChatOps, team messaging, audio calling, and screen sharing, serving the needs of customers in various industries.
We collaborate with over 4,000 open-source contributors who have improved our platform with more than 30,000 code contributions, making it available in 20 languages. Our platform meets the stringent security and trust requirements of our customers, including those in the financial services, national defense, and governmental sectors.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Technical Sales Professional is responsible for developing, managing, and closing business within target accounts in our Mid Market & Enterprise-focused sales organization. This role requires regular travel and involves:
- Prospecting and developing opportunities in target markets and accounts.
- Refining go-to-market strategies for relevant markets and organizations in the territory.
- Engaging new and existing open-source users of Mattermost to provide value around how users can be more successful with our technology platform and tools.
- Managing complex enterprise sales cycles with multiple engagement points in DevOps, IT, InfoSec, and other lines of business.
- Executing solution and value selling to existing customer bases and new prospects.
- Articulating and evangelizing the vision and positioning of both Mattermost and our products, securing strategic commercial commitments.
- Building a pipeline of revenue and new logos for target accounts.
- Accurately forecasting business on a quarterly cadence.
This position requires strong account management skills, effective communication, and the ability to work under minimal supervision on complex projects. The ideal candidate should have significant enterprise sales experience, a track record of developing and closing large, complex deals, and a deep understanding of technical products and solutions.
