We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced National Sales Manager to lead our field sales force in Sweden, driving sales growth and excellence in our department stores and perfumeries.
About the RoleThe National Sales Manager will be responsible for leading a team of approximately 150 employees, including four District Managers, and will work closely with the Nordic Commercial Director based in Copenhagen. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of managing high-performance sales teams in a global/international matrix organization and will be able to analyze performance metrics and implement action plans to drive sales growth.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the sales team to achieve retail sales targets by channels, retailers, and brands.
- Support, engage, and develop the team of District Managers and in-store staff in department stores and perfumeries.
- Build a strong and trustful network with retail partners and other industry stakeholders.
- Implement visual merchandising plans via the team according to guidelines.
- Secure execution of trade plans instore according to the overall retail plan.
- Work closely with the Education team to ensure the sales team meets high requirements of product knowledge and customer service.
- Monitor costs closely and work to maximize efficiencies.
- Analyze store profitability and suggest actions for improvement.
- Follow team performance as well as business and competitor movements, building actions and executing immediately.
- Proven work experience as National Sales Manager, Head of field sales, Country Commercial Lead, or similar.
- Strong retail skills, with knowledge of retail KPIs and ability to use them. Experience from within the Beauty industry is a plus but not a requirement.
- Experience with managing a high-performance sales team in a global/international matrix organization.
- Master stakeholder management.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills, with a focus on developing and building retail sales and leadership capabilities.
- Ability to understand and analyze retail sales performance metrics.
- Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Available to travel as needed, mainly within Sweden and to Copenhagen.
- Understanding and speaking "Scandinavian" and English at a high level.
