APAC Supplier Commercial Manager

Job SummaryThe APAC Supplier Commercial Manager will play a critical role in driving high-profile deals in the Asia Pacific region, leveraging their expertise in the telecom market to negotiate favorable terms with suppliers. This position will also be responsible for reviewing costs and negotiations with suppliers for large opportunities, ensuring optimal pricing and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Engage with Sales, Sales Engineering, and internal teams to monitor project completion and ensure timely delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
- Utilize market expertise to ensure accurate costing and data integrity, working closely with stakeholders to ensure accurate information.
- Maintain current vendor information, including contracts and contact details, in internal databases.
- Review and edit vendor contract proposals to ensure alignment with GTT's requirements.
- Collect and report on vendor performance, providing quarterly feedback to vendors.
- Liaise with vendors to gather and document contact information and service capabilities.
- Advocate for issue resolution with vendors, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Document and control access to vendor portals for order submission and trouble management.
- Perform ad-hoc research and reporting on vendor spend, inventory, capabilities, and issues to support various business needs.
- Produce and file department documents, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Market-level expertise in the Asia Pacific telecom market, with a strong understanding of regional dynamics.
- Experience in managing wholesale supplier relationships, with a focus on negotiation and cost management.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Self-motivation and good planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Advanced PC skills, including proficiency in Windows applications and database management.
- Strong document management skills, with the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in an autonomous environment.
- Proven project management skills, with a focus on delivering results-oriented solutions.
- Knowledge of vendor contracts and contract negotiations, with the ability to support complex deals.
- Desire to learn new material in a fast-paced environment, with a willingness to adapt to changing business needs.
- Technical knowledge of GTT products and services, with a focus on wholesale supplier engagement.
- Understanding of telecom networks and their applications in the Asia Pacific region.
- Four-year degree in Business or a related discipline, with a focus on supply chain management or a related field.
