About the RoleThe Field Sales & Training manager role is responsible for leading a defined area of stores to deliver retail and service expectations through inspirational leadership, commercial acumen, striving for excellence, creating a Charlotte Tilbury culture, and delivering against profit objectives.
We are looking for someone with previous experience working in a retail management or training role, be a passionate people manager and influencer, highly numerate, target-driven, commercially savvy, and excited about working in the beauty industry.
As a Field Sales and Training Manager, you will
Lead Commercial Leadership of the Area
- Own retail forecasts and performance for the area
- Identify and execute opportunities to drive brand awareness, performance and market share within the area
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Operational Marketing, Commercial, and Store Leaders to unlock opportunities for Charlotte Tilbury
- Set standards across the estate for executional excellence, supporting the development of processes and working cross-functionally to improve brand presentation and NPD moments in store
- Work with the commercial team to shape the P&L of the region, from driving retail performance, to availability, through to investment choices, to deliver the best possible return on investment
Build High-Performing Teams to Achieve Retail and Service Expectations
- Identify and recruit industry-leading talent; working collaboratively with Recruitment, Store Leadership, and talent pooling to minimise time to hire
- Set clear and consistent direction which reflects business-wide priorities, and the local requirements of the region; follow-up to ensure delivery against expectations set
- Motivate and inspire the team to deliver and exceed their targets and KPIs
- Maintain a regular skill scan of the team to identify high potential and performance challenges; implement development and improvement plans as appropriate
- Define a training and development plan for the area to achieve retail expectations, covering:
- Accelerating high potential/high performance individuals using the development pathway and certification process
- Managing and addressing under performance
- Succession planning for the area
- Use appraisal process to formally evaluate performance, set objectives, and identify training needs across the region
- Ensure clear succession plan within the region
- Develop a great team culture in the area
Maintain Service Excellence Across Unstaffed Distribution
- Create and lead the service strategy across the area
- Champion the needs and expectations of the customer across the area, setting and coaching to exceptional levels of customer service within Charlotte Tilbury and retailer-owned teams
- Run inspirational events and masterclasses to build Charlotte Tilbury brand awareness across the area and gain engagement from retailer-owned staff
- Lead the effective and inspirational delivery of defined training material across:
- New starter training – Charlotte’s Magic Academy for all team
- Operational business management – to develop management team in region
- All new launch NPD trainings for all team members
- Set and monitor KPIs to measure the impact of training delivered, providing feedback to the relevant global and local functions to ensure the continual improvement of the training provided and learning outcomes
Reporting Relationships:
- Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, Northern Europe
Some attributes we are looking for:
- Fluent English and fluent local language Swedish; additional languages advantageous
- Must be able to travel within the Nordic region.
- Previous experience in a similar field management or multi-site role, with proven experience of building talent and managing P&Ls
