Head of Accounting

As a senior accountant, you will be responsible for managing and mentoring a high-performing accounting team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements that meet regulatory requirements.
  • Internal Controls: Establish, monitor, and improve internal control systems to safeguard our assets and data integrity.
  • Leadership: Manage and mentor a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and growth.
  • Audit Coordination: Collaborate with external auditors to ensure seamless audit processes.
  • Budget Management: Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities, aligning with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Compliance: Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance with accounting policies.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance indicators to assess and enhance the accounting department's efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years in accounting or financial management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is preferred).
  • Expertise in GAAP, IFRS, and financial reporting standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial systems and tools.
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop a team.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive and strategic mindset with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
