We are now looking for a high performing and business minded Commercial Manager to join the Soundly Sales team, working closely with the Enterprise Sales team at the Epidemic Sound HQ in Stockholm. The role will initially be reporting to the Head of Enterprise Sales Nordics with close collaboration with the Soundly team, you will however work globally across all our teams based in NY, LA, London, Berlin and Seoul.

Job Summary

As a Commercial Manager for Soundly, you will play a critical role in building the enterprise sales capabilities of Soundly and establishing a close collaboration with the Epidemic Enterprise sales team. Your responsibility will be to define go to market strategies, secure growth and ensure the success of Soundly by setting the foundation for and expanding the business in the B2B segment, as well as identifying cross-selling opportunities and securing collaboration between Soundly and Epidemic Sound.

We are looking for a candidate with experience in complex sales, as well as experience in working with post production houses and large media companies, having an entrepreneurial mindset and can-do attitude. You will be expected to lead internal strategic initiatives to develop and grow the Soundly and Epidemic Sound collaboration, while ensuring set targets are met and exceeded.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Build the foundation to take Soundly to market under the Epidemic Sound umbrella.
  • Carry out market, competitor, customer, and risk analyses.
  • Define go-to-market strategies and develop value proposition, pitch and needed marketing collateral.
  • Identify new clients, conduct contract negotiations, obtain orders and establish new accounts/relationships for Soundly.
  • Own the full customer sales cycle, both inbound and outbound sales, from first lead to customer success.
  • Work closely with the Epidemic Sound sales team to identify cross selling opportunities, initiatives and larger deals.
  • Share the knowledge on Soundly at Epidemic Sound by providing training, joining Enterprise customer meetings and sharing knowledge.
  • Work closely with other departments at both Soundly and Epidemic Sound to achieve company goals such as maximising customer satisfaction, customer knowledge, and product development, ensuring a strong product-market fit.
  • Set foundation for how Epidemic Sound Enterprise offering and Soundly offering co-exist including pricing strategies, value proposition and pitch.
  • Contribute to company OKRs to ensure initiatives, processes, and programs are achieved.
  • Stay up to date with trends and best practices within the field.
  • Meet and exceed an elevated yearly sales target.

Requirements:

You're a tech savvy, strategic team player passionate about sales and tech. You understand the importance of and take pride in new business acquisitions and business growth. You take initiative, have a high level of business acumen, thrive from working in a high pace enterprise environment, and enjoy nothing more than building new relationships with prospective customers. You have experience from either the editing, post-production or sound design industry and LOVE sound.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ years prior sales experience at a senior level selling complex enterprise solutions with a strong track-record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Comfortable developing strong relationships and working closely with middle management and C-level executives from both a relationship building and a sales/business development perspective.
  • A passion for technology, combined with an understanding of the workflows and needs of video editors and sound designers in large media companies.
  • A self-starter who takes initiative to get things done.
  • Passionate about helping prospective customers scale up their business through Music, Media and SaaS solutions.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and other typical systems such as Ironclad, Jira, Netsuite etc.
  • An active interest in music, sound and/or media is a big plus.
  • Adaptive and not afraid of change within a rapidly growing company.
