Job Summary

As a Field Service Engineer at Avantor, you will be responsible for performing service and maintenance on laboratory equipment at our customers' sites in the region. This will involve traveling to customer locations, both within Sweden and abroad, for training and service visits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calibrate, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment, including centrifuges, incubators, autoclaves, media dispensers, and other laboratory equipment.
  • Report completed work in our systems and to customers.
  • Provide technical support via phone and email, as well as sales of spare parts.
  • Contribute to long-term customer relationships and the development of our service offerings.
Requirements
  • You have a degree in electronics or mechanical engineering.
  • Experience in similar roles is a plus.
  • To succeed in this role, you must be organized and comfortable working independently, as well as in a team. You must be practical, solution-oriented, and detail-focused.
  • You work meticulously, structured, and independently.
  • You take the initiative and are flexible in your approach.
  • You have good proficiency in Swedish and English, both in writing and speaking.
  • You can analyze, understand, and handle customer problems in a business-like manner.
  • You have a valid driver's license.
  • You have knowledge and practical experience of working with PC systems, such as SAP, CRM systems, and the MS Office package, primarily Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and measurement uncertainty calculations is a plus.
  • Experience with validation work, such as IQ/OQ, is a plus.
