Job Title: Customer Support Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Customer Support Engineer to ensure the smooth operation and availability of our Plasma Technology equipment in the Nordic Region and occasionally in the EMEA area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Commission equipment, including operational and maintenance training, to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns for warranty and service contract work, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Regularly report on relevant issues and objectives, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Provide detailed visit reports and ensure timely invoicing, maintaining accurate records of system status and warranty.
  • Authorise system 'buy-off' prior to shipment, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Liaise with technical support and systems engineering on system problems, collaborating to resolve complex issues.
  • Liaise with the Sales Team for background information, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of customer needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of system status and warranty, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Keep up-to-date records of enquiries and project files, facilitating efficient knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Provide detailed records of expenses incurred, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Requirements:
  • Formal Electronic qualification, with a strong foundation in electronics and electrical systems.
  • Substantial relevant experience and training, with a proven track record of success in similar roles.
  • Ability to interpret Electrical and Mechanical drawings, with a strong understanding of technical documentation.
  • Good PC / PLC experience, with proficiency in software and hardware systems.
  • Experience in Semi-Conductor or closely related high-Tech electronic industry, with a deep understanding of industry-specific challenges.
  • Fluent English speaker, with a second European language a plus, facilitating effective communication with international teams.
  • Driving licence, with a valid driver's license for company car use.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, with a strong sense of autonomy and self-motivation.
  • Clear and concise communicator, with excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Able to prioritise multiple tasks, with strong organisational and time management skills.
