About Us

Nordregio is an international research centre for regional development and planning. Our mission is to conduct solution-oriented and applied research, addressing current issues from both an academic perspective and from the viewpoint of policymakers and practitioners.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will contribute to impactful research and analysis on key topics in regional development and planning. This includes working on case-studies, territorial analyses, and evaluations of various European and national programs. The position requires expertise in the societal dimension of innovation and digitalization.

Qualifications and Experience
  • A doctoral degree in a relevant discipline such as science and technology studies, geography, economics, innovation studies, political science, sociology, anthropology, or similar.
  • At least two years of relevant experience in research or practice post-graduation.
  • Motivation to develop new research perspectives, build research networks, and securing new funding.
  • Strong analytical and methodological skills and the ability to take a creative approach to complex problems.
What We Offer

We offer contracts with a maximum length of four years. Subject to further agreement, the contract can be extended for up to four additional years.
