Role and Department

Northern Trust Asset Management (NTAM) is seeking a senior sales executive to play a key leadership role in the continued growth and development of our Institutional business in the Nordics, based out of Stockholm. This role will help define, scope, and execute our strategic plan for the region, embedded into our overall EMEA and Global plans.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Review, define, and implement sales and relationship management strategy
  2. Assist with prioritizing marketing initiatives and understanding market requirements
  3. Operate in an entrepreneurial and dynamic environment with the support of one of the largest asset managers in the world
  4. Develop relationships with asset owners and asset aggregators, providing client-driven solutions
  5. Collaborate with international distribution, product, and investment teams to develop capabilities in line with client and market demand
  6. Participate in developing divisional strategic plans and set goals and priorities based on the direction set for the unit
  7. Work closely with Global Institutional Client Group management and Head of Sales EMEA on setting strategy and executing
  8. Provide strategic input to managing existing clients and help formulate sales strategies to grow them
  9. Collaborate with various teams across Northern Trust, ranging from marketing to family office and asset servicing
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree, Master's in Business Administration, and/or CFA preferred
  2. 10-15+ years of experience in product sales and relationship management to Nordics Institutional Asset Owners and financial intermediaries
  3. Strong knowledge in quantitative active strategies, with relationships in index and/or alternatives
  4. Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
  5. Ability to roll up their sleeves and evolve with the strategy
  6. Exceptional collaborator and team-minded professional
  7. Proven ability to effectively lead and/or navigate through complexity and drive innovation
  8. Knowledge of all areas within the global investment management industry, including fixed income, quantitative active, and passive equities, ESG, and private markets
  9. Strong presentation and communication skills, able to translate complex and/or technical concepts in an understandable manner
  10. Highly organized and able to effectively prioritize multiple demands
  11. Excellent logical and problem-solving skills, able to easily understand new systems, concepts, data flows, and develop creative solutions
