Position Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth and providing technical consultation to customers in the life sciences market.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development (60%):

  • Achieve sales quota through consultative sales process.
  • Identify and pursue qualified sales opportunities with existing and new customers.
  • Develop growth plans for customers and execute on sales strategies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain strong relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal resources to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize CRM to manage sales funnel and forecast business.

Technical (30%):

  • Present STERIS life sciences products and solutions to customers.
  • Use value-based approach to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain knowledge of regulated industry and market trends.
  • Educate customers on cleaning, contamination control, and sterility maintenance.

Business/Administrative (10%):

  • Communicate with STERIS management, customers, and channel partners.
  • Plan sales calls and travel itineraries to maximize effectiveness.
  • Manage operating expenses and provide accurate reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in biological science or chemical engineering.
  • Experience in consultative selling technical products/services.
  • Knowledge of regulated industries (cGMP, GLP, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics.
  • Experience using current CRMs.
