Prysmian Group: A leading global player in the energy and telecom cable industry, we are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Support Manager to join our North Europe team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented professional with a strong background in the telecom industry to drive business development and technical sales support for our optical cable and connectivity solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and generating new business opportunities, collaborating with our sales team, and providing technical support to customers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with cloud, colocation, and telecom operators to influence customer strategic decisions and network deployments.
  2. Work closely with sales and R&D leadership to implement and execute strategies to develop new business opportunities for advanced optical cabling systems.
  3. Coordinate with Prysmian's international sales teams to open business development interactions with strategic customers.
  4. Understand customer business and product requirements, coordinate with sales and R&D teams to enhance the portfolio to meet customer needs, telecom, and cloud markets. Drive workshops on customer sites and provide technical sales support.
  5. Recognize market and technological trends, use market research, and attend tradeshows to anticipate future directions for the portfolio and identify innovation opportunities.
  6. Drive successful launch of new products, provide guidance to optimize current product portfolio and forecasts.
  7. Coordinate Environmental Product Declaration documents together with the Sustainability/Sales team based on customer needs.
  8. Provide technical support to sales in bid tendering processes.
  9. Provide technical support in product homologation.
  10. Provide competitive analysis and market information.

Requirements:

  1. Several years of relevant experience in the telecom industry, with a background in technical sales, business development, or product management in a strongly technical organization.
  2. Ability to identify and create a professional network within the data center and telecom ecosystems.
  3. Capable of driving business development activities.
  4. Strong knowledge of optical networks, data centers, and telecommunications.
  5. Technical degree in electronics, optics, or communication engineering discipline.
  6. Champion of organizational change initiatives, calculated risk-taker, and strong ability to identify innovative opportunities to increase revenue and profit.
  7. Excellent leadership, business acumen, organization, and decision-making skills.
  8. Strong collaborative skills with internal and external business partners, experience working in an international team.
  9. Excellent communication skills and experience interacting with senior executives both internally and externally.
  10. To interface with all Prysmian manufacturing locations and customers, you must be fluent in English. Additionally, Swedish or Danish will be a plus.

Location:

This position is based in Sweden and requires regular international travel within North Europe, mainly Scandinavia (50%-70% time).
