About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Traction Control Engineer to join our team in Västerås, Sweden. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing traction control software for high-speed trains, commuter trains, and metros.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop traction control software for trains and metros
  • Implement and test using graphical programming tools such as Simulink
  • Interact with neighboring disciplines within mechanical, electronics, and systems engineering
  • Manage requirements with internal and external stakeholders
  • Participate in investigations and develop solutions
  • Provide support to system tests, train commissioning, and homologation of traction systems
Requirements
  • MSC in Computer Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or equivalent
  • Drive for results, good problem-solving skills, and enjoyment in creating software solutions together with others
  • English at a business fluent level is essential for the job, and Swedish at an intermediate level is preferable
  • 2-3 years of experience in software development for industrial applications or real-time systems is an advantage
  • Experience in Simulink or similar graphical modeling and simulation tools is an advantage
