Mechanical CAD Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical CAD Designer to join our team at Alstom. As a Mechanical CAD Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing traction equipment for trains, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for traction equipment, including sheet metal, riveted assemblies, and welded designs.
- Integrate components within our products to achieve the most space-efficient design and meet FEA and cooling performance requirements.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers to ensure mechanical and electrical interfaces meet project requirements.
- Perform 3D design, 2D drawings, Bill of Material, and technical documentation related to mechanical design.
- Support industrialization during prototype and pre-series build.
- Participate in design reviews and technical investigations to ensure design meets project requirements.
- MSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Knowledge of sheet metal design, material properties, and welded designs.
- Experience with 3D CAD software, preferably Catia.
- Experience in mechanical integration and change management.
- Knowledge of electrical schematics and harness is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
