About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical CAD Designer to join our team in Västerås. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and efficient mechanical designs for our traction equipment.

Your primary focus will be on performing mechanical design of traction equipment, including sheet metal, riveted assemblies, and welded design. You will also be responsible for integration of components within our products to achieve the most space-efficient design and with respect to FEA and cooling performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical components and systems for traction equipment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets performance, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain 3D models, 2D drawings, and technical documentation
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input on design improvements
  • Support industrialization and prototype development
Requirements
  • MSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in 3D CAD design, preferably in Catia
  • Knowledge of sheet metal design, material properties, and welded designs
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Fluent in English and preferably in Swedish
