Mechanical CAD Designer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical CAD Designer to join our team in Västerås. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and efficient designs for our traction equipment.
Your Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for our traction equipment, including sheet metal, riveted assemblies, and welded designs.
- Integrate components to achieve optimal space efficiency and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Participate in design reviews and technical investigations to drive innovation and improvement.
- Develop and maintain 3D designs, 2D drawings, and technical documentation.
- Support industrialization and prototype development.
- Contribute to standardization efforts to reduce development time and costs.

Requirements- MSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in 3D CAD, preferably in Catia.
- Knowledge of sheet metal design, material properties, and welded designs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Fluent in English and preferably in Swedish.
