Mechanical CAD Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical CAD Designer to join our team at Alstom, a leading global player in the rail industry. As a Mechanical CAD Designer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing innovative transportation solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for our rail products, including sheet metal, riveted assemblies, and welded designs.
- Integrate components within our products to achieve the most space-efficient design and meet performance requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure mechanical and electrical interfaces meet internal and external requirements.
- Perform 3D design, 2D drawings, and technical documentation related to mechanical design.
- Support industrialization during prototype and pre-series build.
- Contribute to standardization efforts to reduce development time and costs.
- Handle change requests and updates on existing products.
- MSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Knowledge of sheet metal design, material properties, and welded designs.
- Experience with 3D CAD software, preferably Catia.
- Experience in mechanical integration and change management.
- Knowledge of electrical schematics and harness is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Fluency in English and Swedish is required.
