Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Alstom, a leading global player in the rail industry. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and integration of technical systems on rail vehicles, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical engineering solutions for rail vehicles, from concept to finalized design
- Collaborate with teams across the business to ensure seamless integration of technical systems
- Perform technical investigations and analysis to identify areas for improvement
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including mechanical drawings and bill of materials
- Work closely with customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver solutions that meet their requirements
- University degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience/education
- Experience with 3D CAD design software, such as Solidworks or Catia V5
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Fluent in English, with a strong understanding of Swedish language and culture
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, with a strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
