About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Traction Design Lead to join our team in Västerås. As a key member of our Traction Design Center, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the Traction Design team and their activities on dedicated projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Traction Design team to deliver high-quality electrical and mechanical engineering deliverables
  • Ensure respect of QCD (Quality, Cost, and Delivery) for the product design
  • Manage workload, budget, and planning for the Traction Design part of the project
  • Perform design reviews on time and document results
  • Comply with Alstom processes, international norms, and standards
  • Interface with Traction Electrical, Traction Mechanical, and other engineering activities
  • Regularly report to management and alert in case of issues affecting team performance
  • Manage bid activity and support manufacturing internal and external
  • Manage requirements management for Traction Design
  • Participate in Change Management and ensure consistency of Configuration
  • Ensure Return of Experience and support continuous improvement with Metier
Requirements
  • University Engineer or Business Degree in a relevant engineering field
  • Highly recommended experience in projects
  • Experience or understanding of Railway Industry
  • Experience in Power Semi-Conductor Technology
  • Experience in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering
  • Fluency in English and Swedish
