Senior Mergers and Acquisitions Executive

About the Role
The Senior Mergers and Acquisitions Executive will play a pivotal role in driving the M&A strategy for Essity, collaborating closely with the Business Units and reporting directly to the CFO. This role encompasses steering a company with significant global operations, including EUR 13 billion in revenue and a workforce of around 36,000.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the M&A process, including negotiations with counterparties and ensuring that group M&A activities align with the overall corporate strategy.
- Oversee acquisitions and divestitures, ensuring they meet appropriate standards and that risks are well understood.
- Prepare and advise on material and key figures to be presented to key stakeholders, particularly the Essity Group Board.
- Lead and develop the M&A team and function in terms of efficiency, structure, and people.
- Offer expert advice and support to other functions and executive management.
Requirements
- Possess a master's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Have a high understanding of financial statements, valuation methods, and financial modelling.
- Be able to identify strategic investment opportunities, assess risks, and make informed decisions.
- Have a proven track record of developing and executing M&A strategies aligned with the organization's goals.
