Job Title: Global Account Manager - Business Development

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Account Manager to join our team at TE Connectivity. As a Global Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and controlling all activities into and within a global business for a specific customer. Your primary objective will be to maximize business opportunities and ensure that TE Connectivity is in a prime position to grow and develop sales profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and control all activities into and within a global business for a specific customer.
  • Maximize business opportunities and ensure that TE Connectivity is in a prime position to grow and develop sales profitability.
  • Coordinate and report on local and global customer requirements and link in with other customer companies and local sales representatives as required to support projects and future developments.
  • Through business development and increased content per vehicle, grow TE content at the customer beyond normal build rate levels.
  • Be recognized as an expert in developing and selling TE products to the customer and other allocated local companies as required.
  • Build a strong network of relationships for all customer companies.
  • Be responsible for quotations and negotiations of specific projects as well as pricing of existing business with a special focus on profitability and contracting with customers.
  • Identify application areas where TE does not have a dominating position and define account coverage and product requirements.
  • Where applicable, lead and guide customer focus teams; especially manage the team of dotted line reports via goal setting and identify needs for support, training and coaching.
  • Communicate results and account activity regularly and comprehensively as requested by the Regional Sales Manager and the Senior Management team.
  • As appropriate, lead functional teams, defining and managing resources as required.
  • Work independently with guidance in only the most complex situations.
  • Regularly report on significant market activities generally and at the OEM.
  • Assist in training junior staff and new ICT team members as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education.
  • 6 to 8 years of experience in various business administration and sales assignments.
  • At least 4 years of senior sales account management experience.
  • Good TE product knowledge would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of trends / competition / technology that will influence products and sales.
  • Strong experienced negotiation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, strategic and tactical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken, Swedish is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to motivate his/her sales team.
  • Culturally sensitive.
  • Comfortable to work in a fast-paced, international matrix organisation.
  • Car driving license necessary.
  • Position requires flexibility regarding travelling. Some international travel will be required.
