We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Compliance Specialist to join our team at SSAB AB. This role is responsible for ensuring that the company's HR processes and procedures comply with applicable laws, rules, and internal policies and regulations.

As an HR Compliance Specialist, you will work closely with the HR team and other stakeholders to ensure that the company complies with relevant requirements. You will also act as Data Privacy Officer for HR and support in mandatory reporting related to the HR field.

Main Responsibilities
  • Laws and Regulations: Keep up to date with relevant laws and regulations, including work environment laws, anti-discrimination laws, data protection (GDPR), and other relevant regulations.
  • Process Compliance: Support in ensuring that the company's HR processes comply with applicable legislation and internal policies and regulations.
  • Policy Development: Participate in the development and implementation of new HR policies and ensure that these are legally sustainable and in accordance with best practice.
  • Risk Analysis: Identify and analyze HR-related risks and provide recommendations to mitigate these risks.
  • Data Privacy: Participate in Data Privacy steerco meetings, review DPIAs & DPAs with Legal, support in policy maintenance (privacy statements).
  • Reporting: Support with the annual report and the sustainability report for HR-related topics, produce mandatory data, support in human rights due diligence and audit reviews.
About You
  • Education and Experience: You have a relevant university degree in human resources, law, business administration, or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years' working experience of HR Compliance or labor law in an international context.
  • Collaboration and Communication: The ideal candidate is used to navigating in a decentralized organization with cross-functional collaboration and stakeholders on all levels.
  • Business Partner: Experience as HR Business Partner or similar role is an advantage.
  • Analytical Skills: You have the ability to communicate complex issues in a clear and easy-to-understand manner.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are important in this role.
  • Languages: Good knowledge of English, Swedish, and/or Finnish is an additional merit.
