About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Support Manager to join our team at Prysmian Group. As a key member of our North Europe Telecom team, you will be responsible for identifying and generating business opportunities in the telecom, connectivity, and data center markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with cloud, colocation, and telecom operators to influence customer strategic decisions and network deployments.
- Work closely with sales and R&D leadership to implement and execute strategies to develop new business opportunities for advanced optical cabling systems.
- Coordinate with Prysmian's international sales teams to open business development interactions with strategic customers.
- Understand customer business and product requirements, coordinate with sales and R&D teams to enhance the portfolio to meet customer needs, and drive workshops on customer sites to provide technical sales support.
- Recognize market and technological trends, use market research, and attend tradeshows to anticipate future directions for the portfolio and identify innovation opportunities.
- Drive successful launches of new products, provide guidance to optimize current product portfolio and forecasts.
- Coordinate Environmental Product Declaration documents with the Sustainability/Sales team based on customer needs.
- Provide technical support to sales in bid tendering processes and product homologation.
- Provide competitive analysis and market information.
Requirements:
- Several years of relevant experience in the telecom industry, with a strong technical background.
- Ability to identify and create a professional network within the data center and telecom ecosystems.
- Capable of driving business development activities.
- Strong knowledge of optical networks, data centers, and telecommunications.
- Technical degree in electronics, optics, or communication engineering discipline.
- Champion of organizational change initiatives, calculated risk-taker, and strong ability to identify innovative opportunities to increase revenue and profit.
- Excellent leadership, business acumen, organization, and decision-making skills.
- Strong collaborative skills with internal and external business partners, experience working in an international team.
- Excellent communication skills and experience interacting with senior executives both internally and externally.
- Fluency in English is required, with Swedish or Danish being a plus.
