Role Overview

In the capacity of Engineering Manager, you will oversee two to three self-managing teams, fostering their continuous development and efficiency in achieving their objectives. Collaborating with fellow leaders, your primary aim will be to enhance the performance and productivity of our engineering division. Your role will involve nurturing growth and learning, balancing hands-on involvement with the ability to step back when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine operational methodologies and processes.
  • Build, lead, and nurture our engineering teams.
  • Create effective onboarding and training programs for team members.
  • Facilitate cross-team collaboration and communication.
  • Mentor teams and individuals to enhance their impact and delivery, focusing on stakeholder engagement.
  • Proactively identify challenges and implement solutions in our dynamic environment.
  • Contribute to a culture of dedication, teamwork, and enjoyment in the workplace.

Ideal Candidate Profile

To excel in this position, you should possess 1-2 years of experience in leadership roles, particularly in agile and fast-paced settings. We seek an individual eager to embrace new challenges and develop their leadership capabilities. Your focus will be on collaborating with your teams and progressing as an Engineering Manager with the support of senior leadership.

  • You are motivated by the growth of individuals and the delivery of business value.
  • A background in development prior to transitioning into leadership roles is advantageous.
  • Experience in a rapidly growing organization characterized by ambiguity and flat hierarchies is preferred.
  • Strong skills in providing constructive feedback, problem-solving, and collaboration are essential.
