We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer to join our team in Västerås. As a Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing the customer functionality of the Stressometer system, a cutting-edge product used for measuring and controlling flatness in metal sheets produced in cold rolling mills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in kick-off meetings as technical coordinator for the ABB Stressometer flatness measurement and control system.
  • Understand and assess customer-specific requirements and existing system landscapes to create the highest possible benefit for the customer.
  • Specify network, signal, and fieldbus interfaces between the ABB Stressometer system and the existing process control and automation landscape.
  • Plan, structure, and prepare customized flatness measurement and control applications for rolling mills.
  • Transfer and implement created applications onto the Stressometer delivery system.
  • Provide technical support to ABB personnel during service and commissioning missions.
  • Generate project-specific customer documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master of Science in engineering disciplines or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge in measurement, automation control, and regulation technology.
  • Experience in handling and commissioning process automation equipment.
  • Knowledge of industrial standard communication protocols.
  • Excellent customer focus and high demands for quality.
  • Good knowledge in English and Swedish.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
