About the Role

This position is part of the Center of Competence Power Quality, a business unit within Hitachi Energy. The team focuses on developing and maintaining power systems, enabling owners to increase capacity while improving electrical stability. The result is more electrical power can reach consumers with minimal environmental impact after shorter project times and at lower investment costs.

The Service Control Engineering team works on various tasks related to maintaining the entire control system for customers worldwide. As a Control Systems Engineer, you will manage control functionality from commissioning through the plant's lifecycle, including the warranty period. Your tasks will include fault tracing and corrections, covering tendering, design, implementation, verification, and commissioning of control system components.

Your Responsibilities

  • Work on challenging service and updating projects to meet customer requirements and expectations related to the control system, including HMI and MicroScada.
  • Deliver high-quality solutions and cost-effective engineering solutions.
  • Focus on areas including fault tracing and correction, design and implementation to verification and commissioning of various contents of control system deliveries.
  • Collaborate internally and globally with customers or responsible in the regions to ensure customer successes.
  • Deliver according to customer expectations within budget and expected quality.

Your Background

  • A BSc or MSc in engineering, with a specialization in Electrical Engineering, Power systems, automatic control theory, software engineering or similar is required.
  • Preferably you combine your education with some years of experience as a control engineer, working with deliveries of electrical power plants, converter stations, process control systems or substation automation.

  • You have good social skills, as this job entails a great deal of customer contacts and close cooperation with colleagues and suppliers.
  • Hitachi Energy is a global company, so proficiency in both written and spoken English is essential. Knowledge of Swedish is an advantage.
