Software Development Engineer for ABB Measurement and Analytics

We are seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team at ABB Measurement and Analytics in Västerås, Sweden. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for developing and improving our software platform for the Stressometer, a market-leading system for flatness measurement in the metals industry.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop software solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers, with a focus on high flexibility and adaptability.
- Collaborate with our R&D team to explore machine learning applications for diagnostics and supervision through cloud connection and other methods.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement and enhancement of our advanced MIMO control system.
- Work closely with our team to identify and prioritize software development projects, ensuring alignment with our company's vision and goals.
- A Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in modern industrial software development, with a strong background in programming languages such as Java, C#, and/or C++.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Fluency in written and spoken Swedish and English.
