Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimize software using C# with a focus on multimedia processing through FFmpeg.
  • Enhance and maintain the ABB 800xA system to ensure it meets the highest standards of performance and reliability.
  • Design and implement system architectures and drive software projects from concept to completion.
  • Develop and integrate web services (APIs, REST, gRPC) to ensure seamless operation within industrial automation systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and ensure quality, scope, and cost targets are met.
  • Manage knowledge documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and innovation within the team.
  • Safeguard intellectual property (IP) and manage IP risks to strengthen ABB's strategic position in the market.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in C# programming with a deep understanding of FFmpeg for multimedia processing.
  • Strong foundation in system architecture and design.
  • Proven track record of independently managing and executing complex software projects.
  • Experience with the ABB 800xA system or similar industrial automation systems.
  • Proficiency in developing web services, including APIs, REST, and gRPC.
  • Solid experience with SQL databases.
  • Familiarity with tools like Git and DevOps practices.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive, innovative approach.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in managing intellectual property, including submitting invention disclosures and handling IP risks.
