About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager to lead our Traction Control Products team at Alstom. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for managing a team of engineers working on traction control products and its functionality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of approximately 18 engineers, overseeing their work on traction control products and its functionality.
  • Participate in the Traction Control department leadership team, contributing to visions and strategies, way of working, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with technical project leaders to ensure timely deliveries and secure commitments.
  • Develop and maintain relevant competency and skills within the team.
Requirements
  • M.Sc. in Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or equivalent.
  • Multiple years of technical and managerial experience.
  • Strong interest in coaching, supporting, and developing team members.
  • Ability and interest in leading, developing, and challenging the organization.
  • Knowledge of software safety (IEC61508, ISO26262, etc.) and/or experience from rail applications is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with applying agile methods for software development.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English at a business level is essential for the job.
