Trackside Operations Manager

Alstom is seeking a highly skilled Trackside Operations Manager to lead our team in delivering high-quality Trackside solutions. As a key member of our Engineering & Field Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the team has the necessary resources for optimal performance, focusing on effective workflows, skills development, and appropriate staffing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead and oversee a team of test and commissioning engineers for our Trackside solutions.
- Project Management: Staff the team effectively, monitor project progress, and ensure task execution aligns with project commitments.
- Best Practices: Identify, standardize, and stabilize best practices within the team.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to personal safety protocols and complies with environmental, health, and safety regulations, following Alstom's zero-defect policies.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive team development by planning training sessions and coaching team members.
- Functional Guidelines: Collaborate with your manager and peer leaders to establish and implement functional guidelines, including team profiles, skills growth plans, and technological advancements.
- Goal Setting: Set clear team objectives, delegate tasks, and establish deadlines.
- Motivation and Development: Continuously motivate, evaluate, and recognize team members while providing training and development opportunities.
- Quotation Management: Estimate and validate activity quotations for tenders and projects.
- Workload Management: Ensure alignment between estimated workload and team capacity, considering subcontracting and business strategies.
- Customer Orientation: Maintain a customer-focused approach, serving both internal and external clients.

- Strategic Planning: Skilled in setting long-term goals, aligning teams, and implementing strategies for success.
- Decision-Making: Confident and timely decision-maker, even under pressure, with a focus on data-driven solutions.
- Time Management: Strong ability to prioritize, delegate, and meet deadlines while maximizing efficiency.
- Project Management: Experienced in overseeing complex projects, coordinating tasks, and ensuring successful delivery.
- Conflict Resolution: Adept at resolving conflicts and maintaining a positive, collaborative environment.
- Process Optimization: Focused on improving workflows and operational efficiency for better productivity.
- Adaptability: Capable of adjusting to changing priorities, leading through change, and maintaining team morale.

- Communication Skills: Effectively conveying ideas and information at all levels of an organization. This involves delivering clear, concise messages both verbally and in writing, actively listening to others, and adapting communication styles to suit diverse audiences.
- Language: Fluency in both Swedish and English is essential.
- Education: Master's or bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Scientific disciplines, or Project Management.

About Alstom:
