We are seeking an experienced Railway Systems Expert to lead our Field Operations Team in Stockholm. As a key member of our Engineering & Field Operations Director team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Trackside solutions within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Lead and oversee a team of test and commissioning engineers for our Trackside solutions.
  • Project Management: Staff the team effectively, monitor project progress, and ensure task execution aligns with project commitments.
  • Best Practices: Identify, standardize, and stabilize best practices within the team.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to personal safety protocols and complies with environmental, health, and safety regulations, following Alstom's zero-defect policies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive team development by planning training sessions and coaching team members.
  • Functional Guidelines: Collaborate with your manager and peer leaders to establish and implement functional guidelines, including team profiles, skills growth plans, and technological advancements.
  • Goal Setting: Set clear team objectives, delegate tasks, and establish deadlines.
  • Motivation and Development: Continuously motivate, evaluate, and recognize team members while providing training and development opportunities.
  • Quotation Management: Estimate and validate activity quotations for tenders and projects.
  • Workload Management: Ensure alignment between estimated workload and team capacity, considering subcontracting and business strategies.
  • Customer Orientation: Maintain a customer-focused approach, serving both internal and external clients.

  • Proven experience in leading and developing cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, and motivating for peak performance.
  • Skilled in setting long-term goals, aligning teams, and implementing strategies for success.
  • Confident and timely decision-maker, even under pressure, with a focus on data-driven solutions.
  • Strong ability to prioritize, delegate, and meet deadlines while maximizing efficiency.
  • Experienced in overseeing complex projects, coordinating tasks, and ensuring successful delivery.
  • Adept at resolving conflicts and maintaining a positive, collaborative environment.
  • Focused on improving workflows and operational efficiency for better productivity.
  • Capable of adjusting to changing priorities, leading through change, and maintaining team morale.
  • Skilled in managing resources such as budget, time, and personnel to meet objectives.
  • Experienced in setting goals, providing feedback, and driving team productivity through evaluations and mentorship.
  • Effectively conveying ideas and information at all levels of an organization.
  • Fluency in both Swedish and English is essential.
  • Master's or bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Scientific disciplines, or Project Management.
