We're looking for a highly skilled Strategic Sales Expert to join our team. As a key member of our sales organization, you'll work closely with our Direct Sales and Alliance teams to provide technical support during the sales cycle for our Indirect Tax Technology Suite (ITTS).

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of our products and be able to leverage their technical expertise to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer needs.

You'll act as a bridge between sales and product, utilizing your knowledge of MS Office software and different communication protocols to support the sales team and deliver seamless integration of product offerings with client needs.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain expert level understanding of functionality and technical architecture of our products
  2. Assist in the client discovery process to help uncover unforeseen challenges and desired solution architecture
  3. Develop a firm understanding of customer needs, pain points, and requirements around the ITTS and align Sovos solutions to fulfill those needs
  4. Work closely with Sovos' Sales to conduct sales and solutions presentations
  5. Collaborate with Professional Services and product functions to ensure a successful onboarding post sale
  6. Maintain and continually improve demonstration capabilities to present a compelling narrative of the key features and benefits of Sovos solutions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Minimum 6 years of Sales Engineer experience or equivalent
  • Ability to be strategic towards business outcomes as well as manage and handle day-to-day details and deadlines
  • Strong team orientation with a history of working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once and prioritize activities
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office software including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
  • Well-developed business ethics and the ability to maintain a high level of discretion
  • Solid knowledge of different communication protocols (e.g. APIs, SFTP, AS2) and different delivery formats (e.g. IDOC, EDIFACT, XML, UBL)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
