Role Overview:
As a Payment Cross Sell Specialist, you will be at the forefront of driving revenue growth and product adoption with our existing customers in the payments space. Your role will involve identifying new opportunities and aligning high-value customer needs with our portfolio of products. You will engage with Planet customers to understand their requirements and leverage your consultative skills to become a trusted advisor, guiding them through the sales journey.
In this role, you will execute effective campaign strategies across a customer portfolio, owning the full-cycle sales engagement plan for cross-selling products. In partnership with Account Managers, you will identify and drive opportunity win plans for our existing customers. You will maintain an in-depth knowledge of Planet's product portfolio and competitors' offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Identify cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts, collaborating with Account Managers to understand customer needs and build trusted relationships.
- Expand and exceed sales goals within your designated territory.
- Present compelling proposals, define pricing models, negotiate, and sign cross-sell deals.
- Owning the full sales cycle from contract to revenue realization with customers, ensuring all signed opportunities go live and ramp according to plan.
- Track, analyze, and create reports based on opportunity activity, particularly on cross-sell and migration processes using internal CRM tools.
- Collaborate internally, working closely with teams such as technology, product, operations, and other sales teams to create clear process flows and boost customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
You are a self-starter who enjoys searching for new business opportunities, with a passion for building strong customer relationships and internal team relationships. Experience selling payments and delivering cross-sell campaigns within the Retail or Hospitality vertical is essential. You must be comfortable driving revenue growth and product adoption to exceed program revenue and pipeline targets.
You possess excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Executive presence is required, as you will work with and present to senior leaders and investors.
