The Opportunity

We are seeking a Lead Quality Assurance Manager to oversee our state-of-the-art warehouse operations. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead our quality assurance efforts, maintaining strong collaboration with upstream FSQA team members, warehouse intake teams, procurement, culinary teams, and suppliers to ensure that incoming products meet established specifications and regulatory standards. You will engage with various markets to exchange knowledge and lead quality improvement initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include guiding a team of three skilled quality coordinators, as well as directing segments of our error-reduction projects in partnership with strategic procurement and the FSQA technical team, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service. You will be accountable for the warehouse's compliance, ensuring successful audits and certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to HelloFresh standards, BRC Storage and distribution requirements, HACCP principles, Food Safety regulations, and GMP, including equipment and environmental sanitation.
  • Maintain and ensure the accuracy of site quality documentation (e.g., PRPs, SOPs, and specific monitoring records).
  • Collaborate closely with the production team to manage food safety and quality from inbounding to dispatch, ensuring compliance with HelloFresh standards and relevant regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancement and develop efficient procedures (e.g., managing FIFO, leftover food, communication processes).
  • Partner with International FSQA teams on strategic projects, successfully implementing these initiatives locally.
  • Lead a team of technical quality coordinators responsible for daily supplier communications, conducting product testing upon receipt, and inspecting first-time received products for compliance with quality standards.
  • Analyze error data to identify trends and emerging issues, working to uncover root causes and develop sustainable solutions.
  • Support investigations of Serious Food Safety complaints across all categories, analyzing weekly and monthly trends.
  • Motivate colleagues to take pride in our products and brand.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Food Science or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a production environment.
  • A methodical approach to work, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English and Swedish.
  • Strong analytical abilities with a solid command of Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Experience in a GMP facility is advantageous, along with familiarity with HACCP principles.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on finding quick solutions when challenges arise.
  • Confident and personable, capable of managing a complex network of suppliers providing a diverse range of perishable ingredients.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor, even under pressure.
