We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Customer Insight Director to lead our Health & Medical Business Unit. This role will have overarching responsibility across the Wound Care, Compression, and Orthopedics categories. Your mission will be to distill deep customer and segment insights, transforming them into actionable business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Insight Generation: Collect, consolidate and analyze customer and consumer data to generate valuable insights, ideas, and concepts. Proactively utilize this information to shape organizational strategy with the relevant stakeholders.
- Market Research Expertise: Provide comprehensive market research knowledge and advice into assigned projects and to the organization, significantly contributing to marketing strategies and programs.
- Research Methodology Leadership: Undertake the selection, procurement, and coordination of all market research studies, ensuring the use of appropriate methodologies.
- Market & Trend Analysis: Collection and dissemination of the latest customer, consumer, competitor and segment trends within the organization.
- Cost Management: Maintain an overview of total market research costs, suggesting improvements to optimize spending across project phases, innovation areas, and geographies.
- Regular Research Planning: Coordinate & implement research plans to address gaps in customer and consumer insights.
- Knowledge Transfer: Facilitate the transfer of market, customer and consumer knowledge, promote best practice sharing, and drive the use of the market research library.
- Agency Partnerships: Select and build partnerships with top-tier agencies, ensuring continuous improvement through regular contact and formal evaluations.
- Strategic Participation: Actively engage in customer-related decision-making processes for the Wound Care, Compression, and Orthopedics categories.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in global marketing, with a focus on strategy and insights.
- Education: University degree in Marketing, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Industry Knowledge: Extensive experience in personal or health care sectors is highly advantageous.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Research Methodologies: Proficient in various research methodologies, statistical packages and data sources.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities coupled with innate curiosity and healthy scepticism.
- Results-Oriented: Proven track record of achieving measurable results.
- Global Perspective: Experience working in a global or diverse business environment.
- Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Leadership: Lead (both directly & indirectly) cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution and team alignment.
