The Role
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Modernization Leader to join our team, responsible for driving revenue growth within Mainframe transformation, including application modernization across 51 countries. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with account teams, solutioners, and alliance partners to deliver successful joint pursuits.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a pre-sales strategy to drive revenue growth in Mainframe Modernization area, including application management.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to customers on Mainframe Modernization and migration to cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Leverage deep Mainframe architecture knowledge and experience to identify and prioritize opportunities for Mainframe application modernization.
- Collaborate with account teams and alliance partners to ensure maximum use of the capabilities and services we can offer.
- Build relationships with senior C-level and IT executives; create referenceable customers.
- Work closely with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to inform sales strategies and stay ahead of the competition.

Requirements
- +10 years of strong technical expertise on MF transformation, IBMi modernization, and AMS (Application Management Services), architecture methodologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Works closely with customers to understand their goals, needs, and constraints, establish the vision, convert business and technical requirements into architectural designs with an emphasis on integrating distributed platform with IBM Z.
- IBMZ/IBMi Application oriented approach for problem solving, relevant experience in development tools and specific application and system architecture.
- Understanding of DevSecOps, Agile, Scrum construct to identify inefficiencies through readiness assessments and development of strategies and approaches to optimize the implementation of IT or cloud resources and capabilities.
- Subject matter expertise in mainframe, inclusive of System z and System i and adjacent environments (e.g. cloud computing, cloud hyperscaler, X86, midrange).
- MF AMS business deep knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Mainframe technology or related field.
- Experience working with strategic partnerships and managing complex sales cycles.
- Experience working in a global organization with a diverse range of customers and partners.
