As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales and maximizing store profitability, while providing industry-leading service and training your team to excel and develop in sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the store team to ensure excellent customer service and sales performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and maximize store profitability.
  • Train and develop internal staff to promote progression and lead in-store recruitment, new starter inductions, and staff training.
  • Ensure that all expenses are kept to a minimum and are incurred only when justified.
  • Have ownership of administrative responsibilities regarding retail development, vacant premises, scheduling, and local trading patterns which may affect the store.
  • Sales Performance:
  • Ensure that targets are achieved and, where possible, exceeded.
  • Able to understand and interpret the relevant Oracle reports to assist in making key sales decisions.
  • The staffing structure in the store allows adequate floor coverage at all times, taking into account normal peaks and troughs in the sales pattern.
  • Support the team in making customers feel encouraged to return as a result of courteous and competent service.
  • The store interior and exterior are clean and tidy at all times.

Customer Service:

  • Maintain customer retention by providing first-class service. Deal with inquiries and complaints and resolve the issue/request. Drive consistency within your internal teams to achieve the highest service levels.
  • Motivate and train the team to ensure that customers are given courteous, considerate, and responsible advice.
  • Ensure that the personal appearance and standard of dress of all staff is in accordance with company policy and that staff uniforms, where provided, are worn.
  • Deal with customer complaints, whether out of service or merchandise, according to company policy, ensuring that they are handled promptly, courteously, and objectively.

Visual Merchandising:

  • Following a weekly brief, ensure that this is applied to your store and maintain high visual standards.
  • Attract, engage, and motivate customers into making purchases in-store by using the latest visual techniques.
  • Make sure that all new products and advertised products are visible and in the correct locations.
  • Ensure mannequins, displays, and windows are updated in accordance with Visual Merchandising guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Retail Management experience.
  • Experience in leading and motivating a team.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • IT skills - Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
