About the Role

We are seeking a visionary CEO to lead the SSE Business Lab, a premier start-up incubator and accelerator within the Stockholm School of Economics. As the CEO, you will be responsible for driving the execution of the lab's strategy, overseeing programs, and ensuring alignment with the mission and vision of SSE.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and drive the execution of the SSE Business Lab's strategy in its day-to-day operations.
  • Oversee programs in the incubator and ensure alignment with the mission and vision of SSE.
  • Build and maintain strong connections within the start-up community and facilitate meaningful collaborations between entrepreneurs, investors, and partners.
  • Lead a high-performing team comprising entrepreneurial and aspiring colleagues to create and nurture the best possible conditions for start-ups.
  • Work closely with SSE Business Lab's fund, SSE Ventures, and interact with key stakeholders, including alumni, partner networks, and leading scholars.
Requirements
  • At least 5-10 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a start-up or entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with an entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create strong professional relationships at all levels.
  • Confident leadership skills, with the ability to motivate others and engage employees towards common goals.
  • Driven and responsible, with a growth-oriented focus to continue to develop the organization.
  • Passion for equality, diversity, and sustainability, and alignment with SSE's vision and mission.
Qualifications
  • Hands-on entrepreneurship experience, either through own start-up journey(s) or extensive exposure to start-ups through incubators, accelerators, or as an investor.
  • Established network within the entrepreneurial ecosystem, including venture capital funds, angel investors, and other incubators/accelerators.
  • Demonstrated experience in personnel and budget management, with a proven track record of leading teams, preferably young professionals.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to act as a spokesperson and handle interviews, lectures, and visits with confidence and reliability.
  • Proficient in navigating complex processes with strong diplomatic skills, but also has the courage and integrity to question and stand firm.
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
