Postdoctoral Researcher in Nonconvex Optimization for Electricity Markets

KTH Royal Institute of Technology is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. The successful candidate will work on developing and applying nonconvex optimization techniques for solving complex problems in electricity markets.
About the ProjectThe project focuses on advancing the state-of-the-art in nonconvex optimization theory and its applications to electricity markets. The researcher will work on developing new algorithms and methods for solving large-scale optimization problems, as well as collaborating with industry partners to apply these techniques to real-world problems.
Responsibilities- Develop and apply nonconvex optimization techniques for solving complex problems in electricity markets
- Collaborate with industry partners to apply these techniques to real-world problems
- Contribute to the development of new algorithms and methods for solving large-scale optimization problems
- Teach and supervise PhD students
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
- Strong background in optimization theory and algorithms
- Excellent programming skills in languages such as Julia, Python, or MATLAB
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
