About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Nordic Hotels & Resorts. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen activities, including staff management, menu preparation, and food quality control.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the kitchen team and ensure seamless day-to-day operations
  • Collaborate with the F&B Manager to develop and implement creative menu offerings for our restaurants
  • Assist with planning and directing food preparation in our kitchens, ensuring high-quality dishes are consistently delivered
  • Work closely with the F&B Manager to manage inventory, supplies, and waste management
  • Ensure the kitchen is maintained to the highest standards of safety and sanitation, adhering to Swedish regulations
  • Direct the food preparation process, delegating tasks and responsibilities to team members
  • Schedule and plan staff, ensuring adequate coverage for all kitchen stations
  • Monitor and maintain consistency in food production, ensuring high-quality dishes are delivered during service
  • Enforce standards for performance, appearance, and timekeeping among team members
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment
  • Conduct daily stock checks and implement effective waste management practices
  • Perform monthly inventory tasks as required
Requirements
  • Proven experience working in a similar role, preferably in a high-end hotel or restaurant environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Formal culinary training or relevant work experience
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment with high standards
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management
  • High level of professionalism and integrity
  • A genuine passion for food and cooking
  • Fluent verbal communication skills in Swedish and/or English
