Data Center Critical Environment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Critical Environment Technician to join our team at Amazon Data Services Sweden AB. As a key member of our Infrastructure Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers and maintaining the highest standards of safety and security.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety equipment and HVAC equipment within the data center.
- Monitor and troubleshoot all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, voice/data, cooling systems, fire/life safety equipment and generators.
- Provide assistance to contractors or data center engineers to ensure proper operation and maintenance of all facility equipment.
- Perform site walk-throughs to verify proper operation of facility equipment and monitoring systems.
- Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and encourage a world-class safety culture.
As a Data Center Critical Environment Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Monitoring all alarms and systems involved in the operation of power, cooling and fire suppression systems in the data center.
- Planning and coordinating vendor works on site to ensure equipment is maintained and uptime retained.
- Supporting other sites and teams during events and planned works.
- Carrying out rack power up and installation duties.
- Monitoring and facilitating new equipment handover.
- Supporting new hires and team members through knowledge share and development.
- Event response and drill participation.

Requirements- Experience operating electrical or mechanical systems in a mission critical environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, web-based operational tools, Change Management Systems (CMS) and Ticket Systems.
- Valid Driving License.
- Data Center engineering experience.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline.
- Familiar with Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) control systems and data collection/trending.
- Good command of English.
