We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Critical Environment Technician to join our team at Amazon Data Services Sweden AB. As a key member of our Infrastructure Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data center's electrical and mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities- System Monitoring and Maintenance: Assist in the operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety equipment and HVAC equipment within the data center. This includes monitoring and troubleshooting systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Incident Response and Resolution: Respond to and resolve incidents and events related to data center systems, including electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other teams, including contractors and data center engineers, to ensure proper operation and maintenance of all facility equipment.
- Site Walk-Throughs and Inspections: Perform regular site walk-throughs to verify the proper operation of facility equipment and monitoring systems.
- Safety and Compliance: Maintain the highest safety standards and encourage a world-class safety culture. Ensure remediation of safety risks and issues in conjunction with other teams.
- Alarm Monitoring and Response: Monitor all alarms and systems involved in the operation of power, cooling, and fire suppression systems in the data center.
- Vendor Coordination and Management: Plan and coordinate vendor works on site to ensure equipment is maintained and uptime is retained.
- Support and Collaboration: Support other sites and teams during events and planned works.
- Rack Power Up and Installation: Carry out rack power up and installation duties.
- Equipment Handover and Support: Monitor and facilitate new equipment handover and provide support to new hires and team members.
- Event Response and Drill Participation: Participate in event response and drill activities.
