Data Center Operations Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Operations Technician to join our team at Amazon Data Services Sweden AB. As a Data Center Operations Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers, providing top-notch support to our customers and ensuring the highest levels of uptime and reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct planned preventative maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center.
- Perform daily corrective work and emergency response to emergent issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operation of data center facilities.
- Provide timely escalation for all facilities-related issues within the data center.
- First-line troubleshooting and reporting of facility and high-criticality events within a pre-determined service level agreement (SLA).
- Provide assistance to junior and peer Data Center Operations Technicians.
- Oversight of third-party vendors to ensure that all work performed is in accordance with established safety protocols, best practices, and local legislation.
- Utilization of administrative tools for change management, ticketing, and asset management.

Requirements- 2+ years of experience in electrical, mechanical, and/or controls relevant experience (degree or trade qualification preferred).
- Demonstrate key electrical and mechanical competencies and theory.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional Certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Controls engineering.
- Working knowledge of generic mechanical-room infrastructure such as chillers, Air Handling Units, and fan controls.
- Working knowledge of backup generator systems.
