Cluster Chief Engineer, Data Center Operations and Maintenance

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cluster Chief Engineer to join our team at Amazon Data Services Sweden AB. As a key member of our Data Center Engineering Operations team, you will be responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of maintenance, site upgrade works, and cost, personnel, or energy efficiency projects across the ARN (Sweden) Cluster.
Key Responsibilities- Preventative Maintenance Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance strategy to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our data center operations.
- Construction Program Management: Manage and coordinate construction programs across the cluster, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.
- Critical Event Program Management: Develop and implement critical event programs to ensure business continuity and minimize downtime in the event of an emergency.
- Day-to-Day Operations and Maintenance: Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and life systems equipment in data centers.
- Escalation Point for Technical Issues: Act as an escalation point for all technical facilities-related issues within the data center region.
- Standard Practices Development: Create and deploy new standard practices for Engineering Operations Technicians, Chief Engineers, and vendor support teams.
- Communication and Training: Communicate complex technical information to a non-technical audience and provide training to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance.
- Root Cause Analysis: Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures to identify and implement corrective actions.
