Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Desktop Team Lead to join our team at Electronic Arts. As a key member of our Site IT team, you will be responsible for overseeing and actively working with our desktop support and engineering team to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Provide expert technical support to employees on both hardware and software issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
  • Hardware and Software Management: Manage the purchasing of hardware and software, as well as the management of licenses and hardware inventory, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously look for opportunities to improve all aspects of the Desktop Support and Engineering functions, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the team to achieve key performance goals and metrics, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Mentorship: Mentor team members to enhance their skills and professional growth, ensuring the team is equipped to handle complex technical challenges.
  • Global Collaboration: Collaborate with global IT teams to ensure consistent IT services to our business users, driving a unified approach to IT operations.
  • Relationship Building: Develop relationships with the business, vendors, and other functions to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of systems and processes, ensuring easy access to critical information.
  • Financial Management: Manage and allocate budgets for IT resources and projects, ensuring responsible stewardship of company resources.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience in the IT industry, with a strong background in desktop support and engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, with experience in Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory administration, with a strong understanding of security best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to prioritize, coordinate, and organize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience with project and budget management, with a strong understanding of financial management principles.
  • Strong documentation skills, with the ability to create clear and concise guides and articles.
