About the Role
Vattenfall is seeking a skilled professional to join our Business Area Markets team as a Hydrogen PPA Origination Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for originating new business in the renewable hydrogen markets, identifying deal opportunities, and negotiating complex transactions with external counterparties.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Originate new business in the renewable hydrogen markets, aligning with Vattenfall's portfolio and strategy.
- Identify deal opportunities, focusing on mid and long-term hydrogen energy solutions, power purchase agreements, and corporate power purchase agreements.
- Understand market dynamics and policy frameworks related to hydrogen.
- Negotiate and structure complex transactions with external counterparties.
- Grow renewables business and execute asset strategy with Business Area Wind.
- Build and maintain relationships with renewable generators and customers in the German and Dutch energy markets.
- Lead the deal process from beginning to end, including liaison with internal stakeholders and planning and carrying out negotiations.
Your Profile
- At least 5 years of experience in the relevant power market, preferably in hydrogen or renewables origination.
- Proper understanding of the power energy market.
- Proven track record of deal initiation to deal closing.
- Resilient and determined to execute Vattenfall's strategy and reach our goals.
- Strong networker and able to build trust and engagement within the company and externally.
- Strong commercial sense and a good understanding of trading, risk management, credit risk, back office, and finance functions.
- Willing communicator, able to coordinate the deal approvals process within Vattenfall.
- Academic degree – technical or economical, Master of Science or higher.
- Able to work independently to originate and close deals, but comfortable in a team environment.
