About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Renewables Originator to join our team at Vattenfall. As a key member of our Business Area Markets, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our organization and contributing to our vision of becoming a fossil-free company within one generation.

Key Responsibilities

• Originate new business opportunities in renewable energy markets, aligning with Vattenfall's strategy and purpose.
• Identify and develop deal opportunities, focusing on mid- and long-term renewable energy solutions, power purchase agreements, and corporate power purchase agreements.
• Negotiate and structure complex transactions with external partners.
• Support and work on large M&A transactions and divestment cases.
• Build and maintain relationships with renewable generators and customers in the German and Nordic energy markets.
• Lead the deal process from beginning to end, collaborating with internal stakeholders and planning and carrying out negotiations.
• Grow the renewables business and execute asset strategy with Business Area Wind.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in the relevant power market, preferably in renewables origination.
• Academic degree in a technical or economic field, with a Master of Science or higher.
• Proper understanding of the power energy market.
• Proven track record of deal initiation to deal closing.
• Good understanding of the hydrogen value chain.
• Ideal understanding of investment banking and M&A transactions.
• Resilient and determined individual who can execute Vattenfall's strategy and reach our goals.
• Strong networker with the ability to build trust and engagement within the company and externally.
• Strong commercial sense and understanding of trading, risk management, credit risk, back office, and finance functions.
• Willing communicator who can coordinate the deal approvals process within Vattenfall.
• Able to work independently to originate and close deals, while being comfortable in a team environment.
